GGCurrency is not designed to replace the dollar.  It is designed to COMPLEMENT, or complete, the functions of other currencies like the dollar. In the High Middle Ages (10th - 12th centuries), the nobles still used gold coins for long-distance transactions, while the local people used bracteaten.  There was a two-part currency system, yin and yang, which gave more stability and prosperity to the whole economy. We expect that the balanced money system of the new paradigm will include yang currencies (probably gold-backed national or international currencies) as well as complementary currencies, like local and GGCurrency. The complementary currencies will tend to increase local prosperity, sustainability, cooperation, and that status of women.  That is why you would choose to hold GGCurrency AS WELL AS national currencies.
